Whether you want a challenge and tackle An Teallach one of the
most impressive munro mountain ranges in Scotland or just fancy a stroll along one of the many magnificent white sandy beaches you will be spoilt for choice, Mungisdale, Gruinard Bay and Mellon Udrigle are all just a short drive away.
BIRD WATCHING
Dundonnell is one of the best places to see black throated divers, buzzards, golden eagles and sea eagles to name but a few. Because
of its tranquil setting Dundonnell’s coastline is a perfect place for bird spotting.
ARDESSIE FALLS
Just a short walk from The Birches, Adressie Falls is at the road side but if you scramble up the path you can see another set of falls
also it is a perfect spot to enjoy a great view of Little Loch Broom.

LECKMELM SHRUBBERY AND ARBORETUM
A woodland garden, planted in 1870 and restored back to former beauty in 1984. This garden has been described as an oasis of peace in beautiful well kept grounds.
INVEREWE GARDENS
Large National Trust garden where rare species thrive in this heritage garden as the effects of the gulf stream meet the highlands.
New interactive museum and coffee shop situated in the centre of the garden in the original house of Osgood Mackenzie the creator of
Inverewe Gardens. Old and new species from all over the world thrive in this spectacular garden.
CORRIESHALLOCH GORGE
Through this box canyon which has the River Droma running through it you can follow a woodland path, cross the Victorian suspension bridge over a tree lined gorge then walk on to the viewing platform where you can see the beautiful Falls of Measach below.
FISHING
This is a great area for fishing. If you are a keen fly fisher you can fish at Dundonnell or Gruinard River. There are numerous hill lochs for brown trout or you could simple cast from the shore where there is a good chance of getting a mackerel or two.
